 Community Languages Day Registration
The Community Languages day is on Saturday 2 October 2010. A limited number of places are available for delegates who come from the community languages sector. The fee for these delegates is $60.00. To be eligible for the community language registration fee, you must be associated with a community language group. Your registration must be accompanied by $60.00 payment in order for your registration to be processed. To apply, please complete the community languages section on the Registration Form.
TESOLANZ and CLANZ Subsidies
TESOLANZ and CLANZ are offering financial support to members who wish to attend CLESOL 2010 (by application only). Note: delegates may receive subsidy support from only ONE of the funding sources available.
CLANZ Subsidy to attend Community Languages’ Day
The Community Language Association of New Zealand (CLANZ) supports individuals and groups working to maintain their heritage or community languages. Community languages help build strong bonds between individuals and families who share a heritage, and enrich New Zealand at local community and national level by ensuring that all cultures can participate in New Zealand society from a position of cultural strength and self-awareness.
In order to build capacity in the community language maintenance sector, CLANZ offers a limited number of subsidies to members of groups in this sector. The CLANZ subsidy will pay for registration for the Community Language Day at CLESOL and provide a $100.00 subsidy for travel costs. The registration and travel subsidy is open to anyone in New Zealand but, because the conference is in Dunedin, priority will be given to South Island applicants. The subsidy is for actual costs and receipts must be provided. The subsidy will be agreed to in principle before the conference, and payment will be made in the form of reimbursement once receipts have been received.

TESOLANZ Grant
The TESOLANZ executive has agreed to support up to 8 members who wish to attend CLESOL 2010 but are financially constrained from doing so. Priority will be given to TESOLANZ members who are presenting a paper or workshop or otherwise taking an active part in the conference, and to primary or secondary teachers. All applications will be treated in confidence.
For successful applicants, support will be given for registration and an amount to up to $400 or $100 less than the members’ registration fee.
